FOSS4G Asia 2026 invites proposals for workshops to be conducted one day before the main conference. Workshops are either 2 hours or 4 hours interactive experiences, with participants following along with an instructor. Although a single instructor can take the workshop, we recommend at least 2 instructors. Workshops are hands-on sessions in which participants have the chance to learn a FOSS4G software. Workshop proposals can be submitted by members of the open source community and could be on any topic related to the broad theme of the conference or FOSS4G software and technologies.

The proposal should be submitted in English, comprising 500–800 words. The proposal must contain the details mentioned below.

  • Description of the workshop
  • Workshop outline
  • Pre-requisite knowledge for the attendees/background of participants
  • Material required from the participants
  • Duration (2 or 4 hours)
  • Any other information/specifications

Note : Please use the appropriate track when submitting your abstract
