OSGeo Thailand Local Chapter, Srinakharinwirot University  (SWU) and alliance partners are pleased to host of FOSS4G-ASIA 2024 which will be held at SWU, Bangkok, Thailand.

OSGeo Thailand Local Chapter

The FOSS4G community in Thailand has the unique distinction of hosting the first “Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Geoinformatics: GIS-GRASS Users Conference” in Bangkok in 2004. The OSGeo Thailand Chapter (OSGeo.TH), established in 2006 was one of the earliest official Local Chapter of the OSGeo Foundation.

OSGeo.TH was also instrumental in organizing the first FOSS4G-Asia in Bangkok in 2014 which was also a celebration of 10 years since the first “Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Geoinformatics: GIS-GRASS Users Conference“. Over the past 2 decades, OSGeo.TH has fostered a vibrant FOSS4G community and organizes annual FOSS4-Thailand events.

Main activities of OSGeo.TH are listed below;

• Promote and foster FOSS4G in Thailand
• Develop documents and FOSS4G related learning materials to facilitate adoption and customization by stakeholders in Thailand
• Develop FOSS4G and supplementary module to support characteristic that unique in Thailand
• Organize training and capacity building activities for students and practitioners
• Leverage FOSS4G to gainfully exploit Open Data and Open Standards in deploying geoinformatics solutions

OSGeo.TH is also proud to host the FOSS4G-Asia 2024 as a major event to further promote the adoption of FOSS4G in the academia, government and businesses. The Thai FOSS4G community warmly welcomes your participation and patronage!

Srinakharinwirot University
